Corrections Policy

Zenith Star Media aims to publish accurate, clear, and appropriately qualified educational content. We also recognise that errors can occur, sources can change, and previously accurate information can become outdated. This policy explains how readers can report concerns and how we review and correct published material.

What Can Be Reported

Readers may contact us about factual errors, misleading wording, outdated figures, broken or inappropriate sources, incorrect attribution, material omissions, accessibility problems, or statements that no longer reflect current guidance.

Differences of opinion are not automatically errors. Where a subject permits several credible interpretations, we may retain the original analysis while improving context or acknowledging an alternative view.

How to Submit a Correction

Use the Contact page and include:

  • the name of the website;
  • the full page address;
  • the exact statement or section concerned;
  • why you believe it is inaccurate or misleading; and
  • supporting evidence from a credible source, where available.

Clear, specific reports can be assessed more efficiently than general objections. Please do not send confidential records or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and requested.

Our Review Process

We assess a correction request against the available evidence, the date and jurisdiction of the content, the significance of the claim, and the standards appropriate to the subject. Relevant primary sources, official guidance, regulators, professional bodies, academic literature, or original documentation may be consulted.

Where specialist interpretation is necessary, we may seek additional context before deciding whether a change is justified. A commercial relationship, complaint volume, or threat of negative publicity does not by itself determine the outcome.

Types of Changes

Minor corrections include spelling mistakes, formatting issues, broken links, or wording changes that do not alter the meaning. These may be corrected without a formal note.

Substantive corrections address errors or omissions that materially affect the reader’s understanding. The page may be amended and, where appropriate, a correction or update note may explain what changed.

Updates reflect new regulations, evidence, product details, prices, standards, or accepted practice. An update is not necessarily a correction if the original information was accurate when published.

Retractions or removals are reserved for circumstances such as fundamentally unreliable content, legal obligations, serious rights issues, duplicated material, or pages that cannot be responsibly repaired.

Dates and Transparency

Publication and update dates should reflect meaningful editorial activity. We do not intentionally alter a date merely to make older content appear new. Where a significant correction changes the central conclusion of a page, we aim to make that clear to readers.

Requests From Subjects and Organisations

Individuals and organisations mentioned in our content may provide evidence, clarification, or a right-of-reply request. We review these submissions fairly, but we do not remove accurate, relevant, and lawfully published information solely because it is commercially inconvenient or critical.

No Guarantee of a Particular Outcome

Submitting a request does not guarantee that content will be changed or removed. We may decide that the published wording is accurate, adequately qualified, or supported by stronger evidence. Where practical, we may explain the basis of the decision, although we cannot enter into unlimited correspondence.

Relationship to Our Editorial Standards

This policy forms part of the wider Editorial Standards used across the Zenith Star Media portfolio. Questions about funding or commercial relationships should be directed to our Disclosures page.
